What Type of Wax is Used in the Candle Making Workshop?
We use 100% soy wax for all candle workshops and retail candles.
How long does it take for My candle to Cure before I can pick it up?
We require at least 2 hours before you can pickup our standard candles (under 10 oz wax). If you have a larger candle, we recommend giving your candle 3 hours to cure before you pick it up. This is because we need to give candles enough time to cure on the shelf and allow for corrections (re-melting) to be made if necessary. We actually prefer candles to rest over night and for you to pick up on the next business day. If you attend an evening class, candles will be available to pick up during store hours the next business day.
When can I pick up my Soap or BathBombs?
Soap and bathbombs need to cure overnight. We will shrinkwrap and package them for you after this curing period to maintain freshness. They are usually available for pickup a full 24 hours after your workshop ends, or we will communicate to you when they will be ready.
WHAT IS the shelf life for soap or bathbombs?
We strongly recommend that soap and bathbombs are used within 6 months. Love & Make is not liable or responsible for any adverse reactions related to use of soap or bathbombs.

Since our payment platforms generate gift cards independently from each other, gift cards for workshops and gift cards for products are not interchangeable. *** Please be sure to purchase the proper gift card for your recipient.***

What is the difference between DIY Candle AFternoons and the Candle Making workshop?
The 45-minute afternoon session focuses on the fragrance blending portion of the candle making process and includes one custom 8oz candle. We instruct participants in blending fragrances and each person crafts one custom blend. If time allows, participants will pour their own 8oz candle with this custom blend, otherwise our team will finish making the candle with the custom blend. This candle will take time to cure and can be picked up approximately three hours after the session ends.
In our evening and weekend workshops, we teach the entire candle making process and guide participants in making two custom candles, one 8oz and one 4oz. We explore wax types, wick information, container details, and ingredient calculations. Custom fragrance blending is included for each candle, and all participants will pour their own candles.
The 45-minute session is one portion of the full workshop experience, so if you join us for the candle making workshop, you won't miss out on anything!
